About the Conference

In 2002, the first ICT conference was organized by the Computing Department, FSKIK entitled 'Open Source at Schools 2002'. Since then, number of national level's conferences were organized but the very first international level's conference was organized in 2016 at Sultan Abdul Jalil Shah Campus, UPSI, Tanjong Malim, Perak Darul Ridzuan. The astonishing progress in ICT field had also influenced the education field. The integration of ICT in education has become compulsory element in order to win the national education system transformation by fulfilling the requirement of critical, creative and innovative human capital production that is needed by the nation. To accomplish this aim, the special platform to share new discoveries should be provided to researchers, academicians and educators in order to give them opportunity to share the ICT products and the best practices as the result of their researchs. By this justification, the remarkable year 2017 witnessing the organizing of the second international level's conference held in historical city Ipoh, Perak Darul Ridzuan. The Computing Department of Art, Computing and Creative Industry Faculty will continue the tradition of organizing the conference of ICT in Education through energetic theme, 'Leading Education through Gamification'.
